In a web search, I found the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.udlcenter.org\/aboutudl\/whatisudl\">National Center on Universal Design for Learning<\/a> web site. This approach asks some interesting questions with regards to providing education for a broad range of learners.<\/p>\n<p>In the\u00a0framework, UDL is represented by:<\/p>\n<p>Recognition Networks: The &#8220;what&#8221; of learning<br \/>\nStrategic Networks: The &#8220;how&#8221; of learning<br \/>\nAffective Networks: The &#8220;why&#8221; of learning<\/p>\n<p>Each one relates to a broad approach including:<\/p>\n<p>Representation &#8211; related to delivery<br \/>\nAction &amp; Expression &#8211; related to organization and timing<br \/>\nEngagement &#8211; related to motivation and\u00a0mindset<\/p>\n<p>Overall, there is a lot to like about these educational concepts and they do allow an appreciation of how poor US education generally is presently.
